Organic grocer to expand at new headquarters
Natural Markets Food Group, the former Natural Markets Restaurant Corp., plans to create 10 additional jobs when it relocates its headquarters this spring from Scarsdale to the Irvington riverfront.
The company, which operates Mrs. Green”™s Natural Market organic grocery stores, has leased 11,555 square feet of space at 1 Bridge St. in Irvington. The move from 700 White Plains Road in Scarsdale is expected to be completed in early May.
Owned by Bridge Street Commercial L.L.C., 1 Bridge St. is a 100-year-old brick building that was part of the Lord & Burnham greenhouse factory complex. The waterfront complex, sections of which sustained flood damage in Hurricane Sandy, Â has been converted to office suites and lofts and retail shops and restaurants.
CBRE Group Inc. brokers Timothy Donohue and Kevin Langtry arranged the lease on behalf of the expanding tenant, while Bridge Street Commercial was represented in-house.
Donohue said the organic grocer plans to add about 10 new jobs with the relocation.
Natural Markets Food Group operates 11 Mrs. Green”™s markets in Westchester and Putnam Counties, Long Island and Fairfield County, Conn.
