Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will relocate HQ to Rye Brook

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society will move its national headquarters from White Plains to a Rye Brook office park, brokers in the deal at CBRE Group Inc. said.

The nonprofit, an international leader in blood cancer research, has leased 41,868 square feet of office space at 3 International Drive in Reckson Executive Park, CBRE announced. It will occupy all of the second floor and part of the first floor in the 3-story, 94,000-square-foot building.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is relocating from 1311 Mamaroneck Ave. in White Plains.

CBRE Executive Vice President William V. Cuddy Jr. and Vice President Kevin McCarthy, of CBRE”™s Stamford office, represented the tenant in the 15-year lease. The landlord, Reckson Operating Partnership L.P., a division of SL Green Realty Corp., was represented in-house by Robert Swierbut, vice president for leasing.

CBRE brokers said the headquarters space in the International Drive building ”” which is being renovated by Reckson to accommodate the new tenant ”” will save the nonprofit millions of dollars over the term of the lease that can be used instead for cancer research and provide a “cutting-edge collaborative working environment.” The office was designed by architects Mark Van Summern and John Bonelli of Perkins Eastman”™s Stamford office.
