Gateside relocates to Harrison
Gateside Corp., a commercial and residential real estate development and investment company, has relocated to 500 Mamaroneck Ave. in Harrison after selling its International Corporate Center at Rye last spring for $30.3 million.
Gateside signed a five-year lease for 2,182 square feet of office space with Malkin Properties, said Jeffrey H. Newman, executive vice president at the Malkin company.
Gateside sold its approximately 171,000-square-foot office center at 555 Theodore Fremd Ave. in Rye to Boston-based Faros Properties and Gould & Co. “After having sold that property for a healthy price, we decided that we wanted to move to a well-located and well-run suburban building,” said Richard Timme, Gateside director of leasing.
Newman and Malkin Properties leasing associates Kimberly Zaccagnino and Tara L. Long represented the owner of the 285,000-square-foot office building in the deal. Gateside was represented by William V. Cuddy Jr. of CB Richard Ellis.
Friedland Realty brokers four deals
Brokers at NAI Friedland Realty Inc. in Yonkers completed four deals for office and industrial properties in Westchester in October.
In Mount Vernon, MacQuesten Development L.L.C. paid $2 million to acquire a vacant 20,000-square-foot parcel at 130 Mount Vernon Ave. from South MacQuesten Development Group L.L.C., an entity of Cava Construction Co. Inc. Friedland Realty industrial specialist Andrew Grossman brokered the deal for the seller.
In Buchanan, Grossman represented owner Clare Pebworth in the $700,000 sale of a 6,531-square-foot industrial building at 260 Westchester Ave. The buyer was contractor MB Services.
In White Plains, United Car Care Inc. leased 4,500 square feet of space at 7 Intervale St. Grossman represented both the tenant and landlord Benerofe Properties Corp. in the deal.
In Elmsford, Luanna L.L.C. leased 1,255 square feet of office space at 5 W. Main St. from landlord Tarry-Elm Associates L.L.C. Friedland Realty office specialist Steve Kaufman was the sole broker.
