Colliers named leasing agent at former General Foods HQ

Cohen Brothers Realty Corp. has retained Colliers International as exclusive leasing agent for Monument Corporate Park, the Manhattan-based owner”™s four-building, 550,000-square-foot campus at 333 Westchester Ave. in White Plains, Colliers announced.

The 39-acre property is the former headquarters for General Foods. A Colliers spokesperson said a total of 195,300 square feet of Class A office space is available for leasing.

The new leasing campaign is led by Cohen Brothers”™ director of leasing Marc Horowitz, who oversees a Colliers International agency team that includes Joseph A. Cabrera, the firm”™s Eastern Region vice chairman; Vice Chairman Robert Tunis; Executive Managing Director Al Gutierrez; Senior Managing Director Ian Ceppos; Director Stephanie Coleman; and Colliers associates Cameron Paktinat and Caroline Hanson.

“Monument Corporate Park is a tremendous repositioned asset, with stable ownership, and a prime opportunity for local tenants and those seeking a value-driven alternative to Manhattan,” Cabrera said in the announcement.

The office parkӪs four interconnected buildings range in size from 120,000 to 200,000 square feet, and each is distinguished by a colorful conical monument entrance designed by architect Philip Johnson. Amenities include a 15,000-square-foot fitness center, 200-person conference facility, and an on-site caf̩. The landlord offers free shuttle service between the campus and the Metro-North train station in downtown White Plains.

Horowitz said that Monument Corporate Park signed more than 50,000 square feet of new leases in 2014. Recently signed tenants include Reis, USI, Prager Metis, USA Vision Systems and CURE.

Other tenants include the Westchester County Medical Society and Amalgamated Life Insurance Co. Inc., which relocated its headquarters and more than 400 employees from Manhattan to the White Plains campus in late 2008.
