Since many seniors were not able to visit with family and friends on Thanksgiving due to the pandemic, the Municipal Housing Authority for the City of Yonkers (MHACY) made it memorable nonetheless with the delivery of 300 dinners to seniors residing in multiple MHACY properties in Yonkers.
The dinners, which were prepared by renowned restaurateur Peter Kelly of X2O the on Hudson Restaurant, consisted of sliced turkey, apple and sausage stuffing, potato puree, giblet gravy, French string beans with shallots, cranberry sauce and a slice of homemade pumpkin nut bread.
Mulford Corp. (Mulford) and The Fresnel Group (Fresnel), which underwrote the dinners, have collectively worked on behalf of MHACY to rehabilitate more than 2,000 units of MHACY”™s housing. The renovations have surpassed $750,000,000 in private investment in Yonkers.
