INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR NAMED AT BURKE

Scott Edelman has been appointed interim executive director for Burke Rehabilitation Hospital. He succeeds Jeffrey Menkes, who retired at the end of June after leading Burke for more than five years. Edelman, who previously served as Burke”™s senior vice president and chief financial officer, brings 30 years of experience in health care to his new position.  

 Edelman received his undergraduate and graduate degrees in accounting and finance from Iona College. He is a New York State Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Fraud Examiner. A member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, he is also a Fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association and serves as an adjunct professor in the MBA program of the SUNY educational system.  

Burke Rehabilitation is a not-for-profit healthcare organization devoted solely to acute physical rehabilitation. Its main campus is located in White Plains.
