Innovation Week founder Jon Winkel named exec director of Stamford Partnership

Stamford Innovation Week founder Jon Winkel has been named executive director of the Stamford Partnership.

The nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization is “dedicated to enhancing Stamford”™s business environment and the quality of life for all those who live, work, shop, dine, and learn in the city.”

Winkel enters the role with well over a decade of organizational development experience, most recently serving in the private sector as a managing partner of SquareWheel Group, a Stamford-based marketing strategy firm.

In the public sector, in addition to Stamford Innovation Week, Winkel serves as chairman of Stamford”™s Economic and Urban Redevelopment Development Commissions and is a member of The Stamford Public Education Foundation”™s Board of Directors.

“The Stamford Partnership is a key contributor to the city’s role as a leader in smart and sustainable growth in this region,” Winkel said. “We have a queue of cutting-edge projects that will be announced shortly.”
