HIGH SCHOOL’S FIRST-EVER GOLF CLASSIC

The Maria Regina High School”™s (MRHS) recent Golf Classic and Dinner Reception, was declared a “hole-in-one success” by guests, golfers and supporters, especially since it was its first golf event. 

Division Street Hospitality, owned by Nicholas Mancini, sponsored the day-long event at Leewood Golf Club in Eastchester, which attracted more than 

165 parents, alumnae, members of the faculty and administration, community partners and other friends of the all-girls independent Catholic secondary school in Hartsdale. “Their shared commitment to supporting our mission of preparing young women for post-secondary success resulted in raising more than $30,000 in sponsorships”¦,” said Anna E. Parra, school board president. 

The highlight of the fund raiser was honoring two longtime, faculty members who devoted a combined 84 years of teaching careers at MRHS: Maria Perry of Yonkers, business development and accounting, and Jeanne Donovan of the Bronx, mathematics department. They both joined the MRHS faculty in 1979.
