CBA HOSTED VIRTUAL ANNUAL AWARDS EVENT

The Connecticut Bar Association (CBA) recently honored legal professionals and community members at its annual awards event, Celebrate with the Stars, on July 22. Judith Altmann, a Fairfield-area resident, was honored for her work as a Holocaust survivor and educator.
“The Connecticut Bar Association is pleased to honor Judith Altmann for sharing her story and selflessly giving her time for the promotion of justice,” said CBA President Amy Lin Meyerson. “Ms. Altmann is an inspiration to us all.”
Altmann received the Citizen for the Law Award, for her significant contribution to the institution of justice and the law. As a Holocaust survivor and human rights advocate, she has dedicated her life to speaking about her harrowing experience and encourages others to “stand up” to injustice and acts of intolerance. Since 2005, she has reached more than 71,600 students throughout Connecticut. As a pioneer of the importance of Holocaust education, she spreads her message of tolerance and learning as a way to fight anti-Semitism and injustice across the state.
“Celebrate with the Stars” recognizes Connecticut”™s top judges, lawyers and professionals who make a difference through their work by demonstrating, dedication, conscientious service, commitment and mentorship.    
 The Connecticut Bar Association, a nonprofit member service organization dedicated to advancing the legal profession and the principles of law and justice, was founded in 1875.
