ALL GAVE SOME, SOME GAVE ALL
The flag that flew at Ground Zero arrived in the town of Monroe on Monday, June 6, the 78th anniversary of D-Day, 1944, when Allied troops invaded Normandy and began the assault on the Nazis. The purpose of this flag is to remember the men and women who served in WWII, those who lost their lives on Sept. 11 and all first responders.
Remembrance/Tribute Ceremonies have become tradition since 2003 with the purpose of having those present take a few minutes out of their hectic schedules to remember and reaffirm a promise that we will “Never Forget.”
