New York Life Foundation grants Westchester nonprofits $300K

The New York Life Foundation gave $300,000 worth of grants to six Westchester nonprofit organizations. The nonprofits are dedicated to young people, specifically in need of educational enhancement.

Since 2004, the Foundation has distributed grants amounting to more than $2 million to Westchester-based nonprofits.

The organizations that received grants include Girls Inc., which received $60,000, and Westhab, which received $85,000 to help fund support STRONG (Students Taking Responsibility & Ownership Now & Graduating). Other recipients received the second installments on multi-year grants include Family Services Center of Westchester, The Youth Shelter Program of Westchester, The Volunteer Center of the United Way and Today”™s Students Tomorrow”™s Teachers.
