Food Bank for Westchester names retail coordinator

Stephen Sullivan has been named coordinator of the retail recovery program for the Food Bank for Westchester.

In his new role, Sullivan will manage the collection of food from supermarkets, grocers and other food stores that would otherwise be thrown out.

The food bank recently acquired a 16-foot truck through a donation from PepsiCo that will, according to the food bank, help the organization double its meal distribution of 271,000 meals per year.

Since 1988, the Food Bank for Westchester provides services and resources to 200,000 county residents who lack food security.
