ArtsWestchester to present $55,000 in Arts Alive grants
ArtsWestchester will present more than $55,000 in Arts Alive grants to 29 local arts projects in Westchester County during an awards ceremony this week. Grants will be awarded to projects in White Plains, Greenburgh, Elmsford, Tuckahoe, New Rochelle, Yonkers, Hartsdale, Bronxville, Mount Vernon, Valhalla, Ossining, Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown.
Arts Alive Grants are made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a re-grant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature. ArtsWestchester administers the grants, supporting community-based cultural activities throughout the county and the creation of new work by Westchester artists.
