Abilis to host 4th annual Golf Scramble on June 15

Abilis, the nonprofit organization that provides services and supports for more than 800 individuals with special needs and their families in Fairfield County, will hold its fourth annual Golf Scramble on June 15, at Sterling Farms Golf Course in Stamford.

Tee off with a shotgun start is at 7:00 a.m. and the event ends at 3:00 p.m. In addition to a round of golf, the event also a breakfast, a BBQ lunch and prizes. Registration is $200 per player, with more information available on the Abilis website.

“This annual Golf Scramble is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a beautiful day playing a round of golf while supporting Abilis,” said Amy Montimurro, CEO and president of Abilis. “Funds raised from this fun event will support the Sound Therapy program at Abilis. Sound Therapy provides a calming environment for our community members by utilizing specialized scents, vibrations and sound. It”™s an important part of our therapy and one that has been traditionally under-funded, so dedicating the Golf Scramble to supporting this program is exciting.”
