LAW SCHOOL’S ROBERT S. TUCKER PRIZE

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in White Plains will bestow the 2022 Robert S. Tucker Prize for Prosecutorial Excellence on Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark and the Bronx District Attorney”™s Office, in recognition of outstanding contributions to the field of criminal prosecution and excellence in prosecutorial practice. 

“District Attorney Clark, along with the entire Bronx County District Attorney”™s Office, consistently work toward the end goal of a fair and just criminal justice system for all, with an emphasis on criminal justice reform. The last two-plus years of the global pandemic have been challenging for our entire criminal justice system, however, Darcel Clark and the Bronx County DA”™s office have not skipped a beat and have stuck to DA Clark”™s mission ”“ pursuing justice with integrity,” said Dean Horace E. Anderson Jr. 

Clark became District Attorney for Bronx County on Jan. 1, 2016. She is the first woman in that position and the first African American woman to be elected a district attorney in New York state. She received her bachelor”™s degree in political science from Boston College, where she serves as a member of the Board of Trustees, and her law degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C.

“District Attorney Clark”™s remarkable career has been a testament to the values and commitment to equal justice that we seek to honor with this award,” said Robert S. Tucker, chairman and CEO of T&M, whose gift has endowed this annual award. 

The ceremony for the Robert S. Tucker Prize for Prosecutorial Excellence will be held on Tuesday, April 26, at 6 p.m. at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University.
