LAW FIRM TEAM DISTRIBUTES 6,000 TURKEYS
FLB Law participated in The Bridgeport Rescue Mission’s Great Thanksgiving Project as both a corporate sponsor and hands-on volunteer on Nov. 21.
Now in its 16th year, the Great Thanksgiving Project — held at the Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater in Bridgeport — has become a vital community event addressing food insecurity. What began in 2008 with the distribution of 161 turkeys has grown exponentially, with nearly 6,000 turkeys and full Thanksgiving meals provided to families in need this year.
Braving the wettest day of the year in Connecticut, a team of FLB Law attorneys and staff dedicated their Day of Service to distributing turkeys and meal essentials to vulnerable individuals, including seniors and those with disabilities.
“For over three decades, the Bridgeport Rescue Mission has been a lifeline for those facing food insecurity,” said Stephen Fogerty, managing partner of FLB Law. “We are inspired by their tireless efforts and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to making Thanksgiving brighter for so many in our community.”
Based in Westport, Connecticut, FLB Law, is a full-service firm and recipient of many industry accolades. Its attorneys primarily represent businesses and individuals throughout Fairfield County, while the hospitality practice helps national restaurant groups expand throughout the U.S.
