HIGH SCHOOL DIRECTOR OF ADVANCEMENT NAMED
Maureen A. Corbett of Yonkers, a long- time supporter of Catholic education, has been named director of advancement of Maria Regina High School in Hartsdale, New York.
Corbett brings more than 16 years experience of raising significant funds for leading Catholic educational institutions in the region. She served as associate director of advancement, director of annual and planned giving and director of special events for The Ursuline School; director of the Annual Fund for Cardinal Spellman High School and major gift officer for Iona University.
Corbett said, “I have seen firsthand how the atmosphere in Catholic educational institutions cultivates leadership, character and success. I am especially passionate about Maria Regina’s all-girls Catholic education, which I believe is pivotal in shaping the leaders of tomorrow. I look forward to contributing to Maria Regina’s future and supporting the generations of young women who will benefit from its remarkable environment.”
School Principal Maria Carozza-McCaffrey (Class of ’99) said, “Maureen’s impressive professional background is rooted in leadership roles that have equipped her to advance Maria Regina’s mission.”After spending the beginning of her career in corporate America that included Amoco Oil Company, All Sport International Inc. and Marco Polo Real Estate, licensed real estate sales agent, she “discovered my real passion was in the nonprofit sector, particularly in supporting Catholic education and in recognizing the transformative power it holds.”
Corbett earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Iona College. She has been a life-long supporter of community causes, volunteering her time and talents to many worthy causes.
