GOLFING FOR A CAUSE
Children’s Learning Centers of Fairfield County (CLC) held its eighth annual Golf Outing on May 30 with a full field of golfers and supporters at The Stanwich Club in Greenwich. One of CLC’s signature events, the golf outing, was chaired by Bob Rahilly, a member of CLC’s Leadership Council and a partner at Day Pitney LLP. The sold-out golf outing raised over $150,000.
All proceeds from the Golf Outing will support CLC’s students and programs, which prepare nearly 900 low- and moderate-income children for kindergarten and a lifetime of learning. “We deeply appreciate our new and returning friends, sponsors and golfers, who participated in our annual golf outing to help further our mission of transforming the lives of children and families in our community,” said CLC CEO Monica Maccera. “Children who attended CLC are doing better in Stamford Public Schools than children without a preschool experience, and we could not provide this early childhood education without donor support.”
After a morning of golf, attendees enjoyed a Luncheon Reception with a silent auction of golf experiences and a paddle raise to benefit CLC’s comprehensive early childhood education programs.
