American Christmas, located at 30 Warren Place in Mount Vernon, has been creating the world’s most iconic holiday displays in 30 states for more than 50 years, including at Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, Macy’s, Cartier, Saks, Harry Winston, Ralph Lauren, and J. Crew to name just a few.
American Christmas began opening its doors in 2022 and inviting the public in to view its showroom, which was transformed into a magical walkthrough experience titled Holiday Lane. This past Christmas the popular event attracted over 5,000 visitors from more than 20 states. All proceeds from this Christmas tradition were earmarked to benefit The Mount Vernon Boys & Girls Club, Northeast STEM Starter Academy of Mount Vernon, and the Youth Community Outreach Program of Mount Vernon. A resounding success, this year’s Holiday Lane generated a total of $55,000 to be divided equally among the three nonprofit organizations, bringing the grand total over the past three years to $197,000.
“We are so proud to support these local and important nonprofit organizations that benefit the children in our community. We are happy to give back to those who do so much to help students all year long,” said Dan Casterella, American Christmas CEO.
“This is year three that American Christmas has demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility by donating the proceeds from its 2024 Holiday Lane interactive experience to Youth-Community Outreach Program (Y-Cop), Northeast STEAM Starter Academy (NSSA) and the Mount Vernon Boys & Girls Club. You can’t fake generosity, and when businesses such as American Christmas consistently show up it’s the young people and the Mount Vernon community at large that benefits,” said Shawyn Patterson-Howard, MPA – Mayor, city of Mount Vernon.
“The kindness, generosity and commitment reflected in the willingness of Dan and American Christmas to stand with and for our children will empower them to achieve better life and educational outcomes. Having given for a third consecutive year further deepens a commitment that will make an immeasurable difference for the many students who will benefit through their participation in our STEM educational programs. The NSSA at Mount Vernon thanks Dan and his team for their caring leadership,” said Gerald Dennis, founder, executive director, NSSA at Mount Vernon.
“For the third year Boys & Girls Club of Mount Vernon (BGCMV) will benefit from a powerful collaboration among government, for profit and not for profit sectors. The youth of Mount Vernon are the ultimate beneficiaries when collaboration works,” said Melvin Campos, CEO, BGCMV.
“Y-COP is grateful to American Christmas for supporting our programs for a third year. This generous donation allows Y-COP the opportunity to better serve the youth and meet the needs of the community. Also, the Y-COP youth were very excited to tour the American Christmas showcase during the holiday season,” said Henry Wilson, executive director of Y-COP.
