Bridgeport Hospital’s Associate Director of Advanced Practice Providers Claribel Agosto, PA, and Greenwich Hospital’s Jamie Sheehan, PT, were named in Westfair Business Journal’s ’40 Under 40′ for Fairfield County. The award recognizes the trailblazers of tomorrow and leaders who are part of the counties’ business growth.
“I am truly honored to be nominated by my leadership and selected as a recipient of this award,” said Sheehan. “Working for Greenwich Hospital these past eight years has been such a privilege, and this acknowledgement means so much to me. I am honored to be recognized for the work I have done alongside so many amazing individuals. I will use this award as a reminder to continue to strive toward making a meaningful impact for Yale New Haven Health System and for the patients we serve.”
Sheehan is the project manager of clinical operations for Greenwich Hospital’s Department of Physical Medicine and serves as a physical therapist. In her critical leadership role, she is responsible for driving key operational initiatives that support both hospital-level and system-wide goals. Over the past two years, she has led efforts to improve patient throughput by increasing 11 a.m. discharges and reducing length of stay, while also enhancing clinical quality through initiatives such as improving the highest level of patient mobility and clinical documentation across service lines. Sheehan also chairs the Safe Patient Flow weekly meeting, leads a multidisciplinary hip fracture care management working group and has been pivotal in structuring strategic partnerships.
Agosto is the associate director of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) at Bridgeport Hospital. She is responsible for supporting both the Milford and Bridgeport campuses, coordinating care and collaborating with multiple providers to acutely treat and discharge patients. She sets direction for strategic initiatives aimed at improving quality, hospital capacity and throughput. She is instrumental in creating policies and procedures that prevent operational gaps and is consistently identifying opportunities for improvement.
“…As the associate director of Advanced Practice Providers,” Agosoto said, “My mission has always been to elevate care standards and empower APPs to drive meaningful, patient-centered outcomes. This award reflects the remarkable team at Bridgeport Hospital, who are dedicated to continuous, quality improvement in health care.”
Both received their awards June 12 during an event at the Italian Club in Stamford.
