USI Insurance acquires Hartman Employee Benefits

USI Insurance Services of Valhalla has acquired Hartman Employee Benefits Inc. from the Hartman Group.

The acquisition is meant to extend USI”™s position in the Mid-Atlantic region, the company said in a press release.

Hartman offers individual health insurance, group insurance, voluntary employee benefits and consulting services from offices in Williamsport and State College, Pennsylvania.

The Hartman employees will remain at the Pennsylvania offices.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

USI employs 4,400 people in 140 offices, and posts more than $1 billion in revenue annually.

USI is in the process of being acquired by the investment firms KKR and Caisse de Depot et Placement du Quebec for $4.3 billion, including debt.
