 
Prudential Rand Realty acquired the three remaining offices of Wolff Century21 and announced a brand affiliation change to Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Rand Realty last week.
The Wolff Century21 office at 490 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains, is being consolidated; 50 agents will move to 1 North Broadway, White Plains, adding to an existing staff of 50, said Greg Rand, managing partner.
About 25 Prudential Rand agents will join 25 existing agents at the current Wolff Century21 office at 2254 Central Park Ave., Yonkers.
The final acquired office is Wolff Mount Pleasant in Thornwood.
According to Rand, Wolff will join Prudential as a business development consultant and will be heavily involved in business expansion.
“We”™re thrilled,” Wolff said. “It”™s a great move forward to set a new precedent for real estate.”
Of the economic downturn and its impact on Wolff, “He didn”™t really need to ride this one out,” said Rand. “His agents needed resources, the market was tightening and we were able to step forward.
“We made plans in 2005 to buckle down and build up resources for a rainy day when the market contracted,” Rand said. “We retained almost all of our earnings for two years for when the market turned.”
On the acquisitions and entry into the Better Homes and Gardens Network, Wolff said the newly formed alliance will be better positioned to serve clients in the Greater Hudson Valley region.
Realogy Corp., the parent company of Century21, ERA, Coldwell Banker and Sotheby”™s International Realty, formalized a long-term agreement with Meredith Corp., owner of Better Homes and Gardens magazine in 2007.
Wolff said the real estate network is being built from scratch and called the network “current for today”™s real estate-type person, avant-garde and eco-driven.”
“We now have an open footprint in the Hudson Valley, which we didn”™t have with Prudential,” Rand said. “I want to grow to fulfill our potential.”
