Stamford-based Cenveo creates CGI-focused division

Cenveo, a Stamford-based provider of print and related resources, has launched Cenveo Digital Direct through a joint venture with Katana Studio Ltd., a Long Beach, California-based provider of computer-generated imagery (CGI) production.

cenveo The new division will expand Cenveo”™s offerings to include CGI, digital asset creation, video production and visual FX, photography and retouching, cultural localization, immersive experience technologies including VR and AR, 3-D visualizations and animation and digital signs. The new division will be based in Tustin, California, and will be run by Cappy Childs, president of Cenveo’s print group, and Wes Filipek, CEO of Katana Studio.
