Bob Marrone, WVOX”™s former morning man, said he has been named the new executive director of the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce.

Marrone is the former host of “Good Morning Westchester” on WVOX, which is owned by Whitney Media and broadcasts in New Rochelle. He left that post in 2012 and has since been working on a memoir and writing a weekly column for the Westchester Guardian, a weekly publication.

Prior to his career in media, Marrone had a 30-year career on Wall Street, including an extended stint at Merrill Lynch. Marrone said he will begin in the new position May 5 and is scheduled to meet with chamber members this week at a networking event in New Rochelle.

Marrone will replace Eli Gordon, who retired last month.
