White Plains law firm BGGP launches speaker series

White Plains-based law firm Brown, Gruttadaro, Gaujean & Prato PLLC last month launched a speaker series to educate current and prospective clients on personal and professional issues.

BGGP, partnering with the Gardiner Epstein Group at Morgan Stanley, kicked off the series with an information and privacy protection seminar June 18 at the firm’s North Broadway office. The law firm, which serves the health care industry, said it is working on setting up future events in the series.

“The speaker series was created to inform our clients of issues that could affect them so they are better prepared to handle these issues effectively,” said Max G. Gaujean, senior managing attorney for the firm’s White Plains office.

At the June event, Morgan Stanley vice president and financial adviser Mary Gibbons Gardiner presented to Westchester and New York City physicians on ways to protect their personal information, identity and financial information. In a press release, the firm said roughly 15 million residents in the U.S. have their identities stolen each year, causing nearly $50 billion in annual financial losses.

“Many of our clients do all their financial transactions online and have chip-enabled bank cards,” Gardiner said. “Helping them protect their financial data is part of our service as financial advisers, and we shared important tips with those in attendance on how to keep their information safe.”

BGGP, founded in 2013 as the successor law firm to Brown & Tarantino LLC, has offices in White Plains, New York City and Rochester.
