General Patent Corp. (GPC) based in Suffern, a patent licensing and patent enforcement firm, announced on behalf of client Renhcol Inc. ? a wholly-owned subsidiary of Betbrokers PLC (London Stock Exchange: BETB) ? that Renhcol had settled its patent infringement lawsuit against Pregame L.L.C. of Las Vegas on January 27.
A lawsuit against Pregame and several other defendants was filed in October in the Eastern District of Texas for the infringement of Renhcol”™s U.S. patent. Ultimately, Pregame agreed to settle the lawsuit and license the patent, according to GPC.
GPC represents Renhcol as its exclusive licensing agent.
Renhcol owns “Web-Based Prediction Marketplace.” The technology pertains to the on-line prediction of future events. “We are pleased to have reached an amicable settlement with Pregame and look forward to settling with the rest of the defendants,” said Paul Lerner, GPC”™s senior vice president and general counsel.
