Mastercard marketing executive to speak at Fairfield University

Anne Valentzas, senior vice president of consumer marketing and sponsorships at Mastercard, will be a featured speaker at the Dean’s Executive Forum, held at Fairfield University’s Dolan School of Business Tuesday, April 2.  

In “Flipping the Marketing Paradigm: From Interruption to Integration,” which takes place at 5 p.m. at the Dolan School Event Hall and on Zoom, Valentzas will explore what it means to advertise and engage in the modern landscape. She’ll offer insight into MasterCard’s latest campaign with the Grammy Awards and singer Sza for the Priceless Planet Coalition — highlighted by Campaign US as one of the top Grammy campaigns of the year and named a “Marketing Winner of the Week” by AdAge. 

Valentzas has been with Mastercard, headquartered in Purchase, for more than 11 years, holding various roles in consumer and business-to-business marketing and as a product architect tasked with delivering solutions to meet the individual needs of co-brand partners. Before Mastercard, she managed marketing for De Beers, overseeing the iconic “A Diamond is Forever” campaign. Valentzas holds a master’s degree from the Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University and is on the advisory council to the marketing department of the Dolan School, her alma mater.
