Ganim announces appointments

Mayor Joe Ganim, recently re-elected to lead Bridgeport after four contests, announced several appointments to city positions on March 14.

Thomas Gaudett will serve as Chief Administrative Officer, overseeing all city departments and advising the mayor about day-to-day operations of city government. Gaudett has served the city for more than eight years, and was recently a Deputy Chief of Staff.

Serving as Deputy Chief Administrative Officers will be Fred Gee and David Reyes, Jr., both veterans of the Ganim administration with years of public service on their resumes.

Gaudett’s former role of Deputy Chief of Staff willnow be filled by Constance Vickers, who spent five years as Bridgeport’s Director of Legislative Affairs. She will now assist the city’s government evaluate the budget, contracts, amendments, and other matters that pertain to the Bridgeport City Council and require coordination with the mayor’s office.

Luis Burgos, who has more than two decades of expereince at Bridgeport’s Department of Public Facilities has been appointed to the new Director of Public Facilities. His prior expereince includes service as the City’s Sanitation Supervisor and Manager of Roadway and Parks Service.

Attorney Erool Skyers was appointed to the position of Director of Labor Relations after serving as the acting director for several years.
