Business Council names 40 Rising Stars

The Business Council of Westchester on Monday announced 40 professionals who will receive its 2014 Rising Star Award at a June 12 ceremony in Rye Brook.

Business Council officials in a press release said they received more than 100 nominations this year for the annual award, given to people under the age of 40 who exemplify leadership, foresight and a vision for the future of Westchester County. Winners were selected based on professional or entrepreneurial accomplishments, demonstrated leadership qualities and professional or business affiliations. They represent a wide range of professionals from law, government, media, politics, education, the arts and other industries.
