WEDC hosts region’s InnovateHer contest round

The Women”™s Enterprise Development Center in White Plains is taking applications from businesses this month for a contest to identify a company in the lower Hudson Valley region to compete in the national InnovateHer competition.

Sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration, InnovateHer offers cash awards to entrepreneurs who develop innovative products and services that “help impact and empower the lives of women and families,” according to WEDC.

Contestants must develop a product or service that has a measurable impact on the lives of women and families, the potential for commercialization and fills a need in the marketplace.
