Uniqlo expands into Westchester and Rockland

Uniqlo, a global clothing retailer, will be opening stores at the Palisades Center in West Nyack and at Ridge Hill in Yonkers.

The 24,000-square-foot Palisades location will open in early March, while the two-level, 24,000-square-foot Ridge Hill location will open mid-spring.

“We are continuing our commitment to rollout locations at shopping malls across the U.S.,” Uniqlo USA CEO Shin Odake said in a statement. “With a dedicated fan base in the New York tristate area, both Palisades Center and Ridge Hill are the natural next step in our expansion plans.”

The company plans on hiring 100 full-time and part-time employees at each location.

Uniqlo, which offers offers both men”™s and women”™s clothes, has been expanding throughout the tristate area, recently opening a store in Paramus, N.J. The retailer has three stores in New York City.
