Friday is Manufacturing Day across New York
Tours of a meat processing equipment manufacturer”™s plant in Kingston are among 60 events events planned across the state Friday as part of national Manufacturing Day. Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo this week declared October “Manufacturing Month” in New York.
“Manufacturing Day provides an opportunity for companies to showcase their industry practices and innovative products, and the highly skilled jobs available in advanced manufacturing fields,” Cuomo said in a press release. “The manufacturing sector continues to play an important role in New York”™s economy, and through this year”™s reforms that eliminated the tax on manufacturers, its impact will only grow.”
