Children’s clothes buyer, reseller Once Upon A Child opens in Scarsdale

A franchise that buys and sells used children’s clothes, shoes, toys and equipment has entered the Scarsdale market.

Once Upon A Child, which is owned by the Winmark Corporation and has 325 stores in the United States and Canada, opened at 455 Central Park Ave. in Scarsdale on April 6.

“Our store fills a distinct niche in the retail market,”Â said Sandro Olivo, owner of the Scarsdale Once Upon A Child. “I understand how expensive it is to raise children today and want to offer an affordable option for local families.”

Once Upon A Child pays on the spot for items from customers for resale. The company says its employees are kept up to date on recalled items and all times are safety-checked to meet current standards.
