Best Cheese Corp. names new CEO

Best Cheese Corp., an importer and distributor of Dutch cheese brands and a Dutchess County farm owner headquartered in Purchase, announced that Steve Millard has stepped in this month as the company”™s new CEO.

Millard, a 15-year dairy industry veteran, succeeded Steve Margarites in the top post on Aug. 12.  Millard most recently served as vice president of sales at Alouette, a division of the French company Groupe Bongrain. Before joining Alouette, he served as president and CEO of Emmi Roth USA. Millard also spent 8 years with Dannon Co. Inc., the Groupe Danone subsidiary based in Greenburgh.

In the company announcement Millard said his top priorities will be “focusing on building our brands, growing our team and delivering the highest quality service to our customers.”

Best Cheese Corp. is a full subsidiary of Uniekaas Beheer B.V. based in the Netherlands. The Purchase company markets and sells cheese and dairy products under the brand names Parrano, Uniekaas, Coach Farm and Melkbus. The company also operates Coach Farm, an artisanal goat dairy farm in Pine Plains.
