$1.4M for bus improvements in Rockland

Rockland County”™s Department of Transportation will receive a $1.4 million grant to buy new buses and improve garages in Clarkstown.

The funding was praised by U.S. Reps. Nita Lowey and Eliot Engel, who both represent parts of Rockland County, saying they hoped that in the face of rising gas prices it would encourage the public to leave their cars at home.
