Yale New Haven Health System acquires PhysicianOne Urgent Care

Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS) announced its acquisition of PhysicianOne Urgent Care, a regional provider of 24/7 urgent care.

The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. YNHHS stated the Department of Public Health approved the change in ownership of PhysicianOne in August but is only now announcing the transaction.

“We are very excited to be taking this step with PhysicianOne,” said Christopher O’Connor, CEO and president of YNHHS. “Yale New Haven Health is committed to meeting the patients where they want to access care and urgent care is a convenient alternative for many people. By providing easier access to a nationally-ranked academic health system and in a fully coordinated manner, the patient truly benefits.”

“We are excited to join YNHHS and to accelerate access to high-value and coordinated care across the region,” said Lynne Rosen, PhysicianOne Urgent Care CEO. “The combined strengths of our organizations are aligned to improve the experience and clinical care for our patients.”
