Michael Fosina named president of Bronxville hospital
Michael J. Fosina, a long-time New Rochelle resident and senior executive at NewYork-Presbyterian hospital campuses in Manhattan, has been named president of NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville.
He succeeds Edward M. Dinan, who retired this month after 15 years as president and CEO of the 106-year-old, 291-bed community hospital in Bronxville.
Fosina”™s selection was announced by Dr. Steven J. Corwin, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital CEO, and Dr. Laura L. Forese, president of the NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System, which Lawrence Hospital joined last year.
In his most recent post as senior vice president and chief operating officer of New York-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital, Fosina helped establish NewYork-Presbyterian”™s sixth medical campus. He previously served for many years as executive director of NewYork-Presbyterian”™s Allen Pavilion in upper Manhattan.
“As we welcome Michael Fosina,” Forese said, “we congratulate Ed Dinan on his more than 15 years of service and leadership at Lawrence Hospital, as well as his dedication and commitment to the institution and the Westchester communities it serves.”
Forese called Dinan “a tireless partner and supporter during this evolutionary phase of building and branding NYP/Lawrence” since the New York City hospital became the approximately 1,000-employee Bronxville hospital”™s parent organization 14 months ago.
Fosina said he is “delighted and enthused about the opportunity to help continue the positive impact that NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital has made in Westchester County and the surrounding region. Together, we will work together to keep patients first.”
