Gilda’s Club Westchester, HVHC partner to support cancer patients
Gilda”™s Club Westchester, known for supporting cancer patients and their families, is bringing its services to upper Westchester and Putman, through a new collaboration with the Cheryl R. Lindenbaum Cancer Center at Hudson Valley Hospital Center (HVHC).
HVHC President John C. Federspiel said the club comes with “a reputation for providing quality services” to those affected by cancer and HVHC is looking forward to the great benefits the partnership will bring to the Lindenbaum Cancer Center.
Gilda’s Club Westchester, based in White Plains, has provided networking as well as support groups, workshops, education and social activities for cancer patients who desire to share their experiences.
Starting in February, Gilda”™s Club Westchester at HVHC will offer a support group for people recently diagnosed with cancer. The group, called “Living with Cancer,”™”™ will meet on the first and third Thursdays of the month at the Cheryl R. Lindenbaum Cancer Center in Cortlandt Manor.
