Andrus names new financial chief

Andrus, a nonprofit agency headquartered in Yonkers that offers treatment programs and other services for troubled children and their families, announced the appointment of Christine Monroe as vice president and chief financial officer at the organization.

Monroe spent 35 years at ARC of Rockland, most recently as associate executive director for finance and administration, Andrus officials said in the announcement. She previously served ARC as director of revenue management and director of employment services, among other roles at the agency serving people with developmental disabilities.

Andrus Acting President and CEO Bryan R. Murphy said Monroe is “an accomplished health care executive with demonstrated ability to deliver results in a fast-paced not-for-profit environment. We look forward to the expertise, knowledge and high standard of practice she will bring to Andrus.”

Monroe also serves on the board of the Visiting Nurse Service of Westchester.
