Westchester reaches 5-year agreement with CSEA union

The Westchester County government has reached an agreement on a new five-year contract with the Civil Service Employees Association Inc. (CSEA) labor union.

According to a statement issued by Westchester County Executive George Latimer, the agreement begins retroactively on Jan. 1, 2023 and ends on Dec. 31, 2027, covering “compensation, insurance, certain leaves and other items pertaining to the County”™s dedicated workforce.” The county departments with largest number of CSEA workers include Social Services, Environmental Facilities, Parks, Recreation & Conservation, Health and Public Work & Transportation.

“Westchester County residents rely on the services our workforce provides each and every day,” said Latimer. “This agreement is a manifestation of the efforts of building a strong relationship with the dedicated public servants who call the County an employer each day. We respect the professionalism of those who work in government service.”

“For our thousands of members, this five-year deal provides stability during unstable times and will allow us to continue our work for the people of Westchester,” added CSEA President Hattie Adams.
