New human resources commissioner for Westchester
Westchester County Executive George Latimer has announced the appointment of Lisa Denig as commissioner of human resources.
Denig previously served in senior positions within the Office of Court Administration, the Westchester County District Attorney”™s Office and as the chief of staff to the Putnam County Executive. Denig received her Juris Doctorate from Pace University School of Law and her Master’s in Public Service from the University of Arkansas.
“Lisa Denig is a highly accomplished multi-discipline professional who has worked closely with the New York State Office of Court Administration and with the personnel supervision experience she brings while serving our neighbor Putnam County, we are sure that she will serve our Human Resources Department well in her new role as Commissioner,” said Latimer.
“I’m confident that my experience dealing with personnel issues as Chief of Staff in Putnam County as well as my legal education and training will provide me with a solid base to confront the issues and challenges that make up the new, post-pandemic employment landscape,” said Dening, whose new department maintains employment records for more than 30,000 employees across 121 local jurisdictions, including cities, towns, villages, school districts, fire districts, libraries and the Westchester Medical Center.
