New Canaan offers first town website upgrade since 2005
After 14 years, the town of New Canaan has decided to upgrade the municipal website.
“The new website has been in development for six months, replacing a website that had been in service since 2005,” First Selectman Kevin Moynihan said while unveiling the upgraded NewCanaan.info. “The website is hosted by Revize Software Systems based in Troy, Michigan, a market leader in municipal websites.”
Moynihan said the website was built for approximately $12,000 and was developed under the direction of IT Department head Chris Kaiser and IT Department webmaster Sal DeLucia. The website”™s design will allow town residents to complete online transactions in a more efficient manner and it will adapt easier to mobile and handheld screens, he said.
“We are excited to be able to deliver a great new web design with robust online features at a very low cost,” Moynihan said. “I think our residents will appreciate several new online features and an expanded amount of information that the website offers.”
