The best foodie city in America is…

Ahead of World Food Day on Oct. 16, the number crunchers at the personal finance website WalletHub have released their report “2023’s Best Foodie Cities in America.”

For this study, the 182 largest U.S. cities were analyzed across 28 food-focused metrics, ranging from affordability and accessibility of high-quality restaurants to food festivals per capita to craft breweries and wineries per capita.

Using these criteria, WalletHub crowned Orlando as the nation’s Best Foodie City. Rounding out the top 10 was Orlando, Sacramento, Miami, San Francisco, Tampa, San Diego, Las Vegas, Austin and Seattle.

Perhaps surprisingly, New York City ranked 20th among the 182 cities. Other regional localities on the list included New Haven in 76th place, Yonkers in 144th and Bridgeport in 150th.
