Shelton’s CoreBev Group debuts Kavo as the world’s first Greek rum

The CoreBev Group has announced the release of its latest product: Kavo, the world”™s first Greek rum.

According to the Shelton-headquartered company, Kavo is a white rum sourced from the unique fruits and botanicals of the Greek islands, including mandarins from Santorini and mastic from Chios, in addition to sugar cane and other herbs and spices found only in this part of the Mediterranean.

“I wanted to create an authentic product that was unique to my roots and upbringing,” said CoreBev founder and CEO Stelios Stavrianos, whose parents are Greek immigrants. “I”™m very passionate about where I came from, and I wanted to take that passion and put into a bottle. And this is the first of its kind.”

“Kavo has been almost three years in the making, and we obsessed over every single detail,” added Dimitrios Zahariadis, CoreBev’s chief operating officer. “This is a proud moment for us to finally release this product.”

Kavo Rum will be available starting in Greece in June and will roll out in Connecticut, New York, Texas, Massachusetts, Ontario, and British Columbia later this summer. The suggested retail price will be $30.00 for the 700 ml bottle.
