Online grocer launches new pick-up service in Westchester
Online grocer Peapod is launching its new pick-up service in Westchester County today.
Shoppers can use their computers, tablets or smartphones to order groceries online through Peapod.com and pick them up at one of two locations: 46 Central Park Ave. in Hartsdale or 670 N. Broadway in White Plains.
To coincide with its new online service in Westchester, Peapod is also donating $500 worth of food to the Food Bank of Westchester. In accepting the donation, the food bank will be the first official user of the pick-up service.
Peapod is a wholly owned subsidiary of international food provider Royal Ahold, and has partnerships with Ahold USA companies Stop & Shop and Giant Food Stores.
