Diageo’s Seagram 7 Crown recruits Garth Brooks for responsible driving campaign
Diageo”™s Seagram 7 Crown whiskey brand is partnering with country music icon Garth Brooks on a campaign to promote responsible drinking and the avoidance of driving while impaired.
The new #JoinThePact initiative seeks to secure 700,000 pledges to avoid drunken driving this summer through a social media campaign and the JoinThePact.com website. Brooks initially teamed with Seagram 7 Crown to highlight his new “Dive Bar” single as part of the National Dive Bar observance, and will be making Seagram 7 Crown-sponsored appearances at dive bars around the country as part of his new national tour.
“I applaud Seagram’s 7 and share the mission to help our favorite neighborhood hangouts live to see another day,” said Brooks in a statement issued by Norwalk-based Diageo. “That”™s why I urge all my friends to #JoinThePact and pledge to never drive impaired, so together we can keep the celebration going all summer long.”
Diageo Brand Director Jason Sorley welcomed the celebrity endorsement by noting it was “a privilege to join forces to not only celebrate dive bars but ensure we can all continue enjoying these places together, responsibly.”
