Cava Grill to open Mediterranean eatery in Greenwich

Cava Grill, a Washington, D.C.-based chain of fast-casual Mediterranean cuisine eateries, is planning to open its first Connecticut location in Greenwich.

Cava Grill is moving into the 129 West Putnam Ave. space that was occupied by the Cosi bakery-café chain, which closed last September. Cava Grill operates 32 restaurants across California, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New York and Virginia.

Earlier this year, Cava Grill announced the plans for its Westchester eatery in Rye Brook”™s Rye Ridge Shopping Center. That restaurant is set to open later this year.
