Women’s boutiques expanding presence in Westport

A new commercial tenant, Matt Bernson, has added its name to the line of boutique and upscale retailers on Westport”™s Main Street shopping district.

Matt Bernson, a women”™s shoe and accessories designer from New York City, has leased 1,000 square feet of space at 136 Main Street in the Brooks Corner shopping mall, according to announcement from the real estate firm, HK Group in Westport.

The new lease was brokered by Franco Fellah, executive vice president at HK Group, who also brokered a new move for Shoe-Inn.

Shoe-Inn, a women”™s designer shoe store, is nearly doubling its space and moving from 1,200 square feet at 38 Main St. to 2,355 square feet at 21 Main St., in Westport.

The regional woman”™s designer shoe store will double its space by moving from 38 Main Street, where it rented 1,200 SF of space since 1973, to 21 Main Street, where it leased 2,355 square feet of space previously occupied by Henry Lehr.

Shoe-Inn operates seven ladies shoes and accessories stores in Westport, Conn., East Hampton, West Hampton Beach, and Rye Brook, NY, Livingston, Englewood and Ridgewood, NJ.

The new Westport store will open in February 2016.
