Up-to-the-minute real estate data at a click
William Raveis, chairman and CEO of William Raveis Real Estate, Mortgage & Insurance, announced the launch of “local housing data,” a new raveis.com feature that provides free real estate market data compiled from various multiple listing services.
“We”™re very pleased to be able to offer this new feature through raveis.com,” said Raveis. “Visitors to our Web site will now have the added convenience of accessing a wealth of information through our local housing data application, which essentially serves as an up-to-date, accurate reflection of today”™s real estate market.”
The feature can be accessed from the raveis.com home page. The data are broken down into Connecticut or Massachusetts town of interest and a type of property. From this information several charts are produced, providing a visual snapshot of market conditions over the past two years. The information illustrates total inventory, median sale prices, unit sales, market time for sales and sales-to-listing price ratio.
The housing data feature covers all towns in Connecticut and the majority of Massachusetts towns and is updated monthly.
“Because all real estate is local, today”™s consumer needs accurate data reflective of their local market, which they simply cannot receive from national and regional sources that have limited access to this information,” said Raveis. “Nowhere else on the Web can you find such comprehensive, reliable and timely local market data in such an accessible format.”
Ravies is billed as New England”™s largest privately held, family-owned real estate firm, with a 2007 estimated sales volume of $5.5 billion. Annually, raveis.com attracts more than 5 million visitors worldwide.
