Two Fairfield County startups were among nine statewide that won Innovation Pipeline awards, sponsored by the Connecticut Technology Council to recognize promising early-stage companies.

Interactive Mobile @dvertising L.L.C. was named the most promising new media or Internet company, providing travel destination guides for use on mobile phones. The company”™s CEO is based in Connecticut, while two more senior executives are in Massachusetts. At last report, the company was in the process of raising $800,000 in venture capital.

Trumbull-based Sustainable Real Estate Solutions Inc. was named the most significant early-stage capital investment, as it sells software to help commercial property owners assess their energy consumption.

The contest was co-sponsored by Cantor Colburn L.L.P. and the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology. At a Sept. 30 event in New Haven, the organizations also recognized U.S. Sen. Chris Dodd with an award recognizing his support of Connecticut”™s high-tech economy.
